Coupe Canada / Mont-Tremblant

More will come shortly...

In JF Blais’ absence, the pressure was on George Visser’s shoulders to defend the success that the TAXIteam has been having in the Canada Cups thus far in the season. About 50 Master Experts lined up at the starting line and enjoyed a little entertainment as a few TAXI groupies got carried away under the blistering sun. It was just barely decent, but none of the guys complained… The pleasantly distracting start gave way to the sound of the gun and after lap 1 the stage was set : 5 riders broke away from the pack, including George and a few other ex-pros from the 90’s heyday. On lap 2 George came out of the fast and twisty single track with a slight gap and decided to build on it going into lap 3. The 4th and last lap turned out to be a showdown as Mathieu Boucher bridged up to George, however the TAXI man responded by counter attacking immediately over last climb and descent. In the end George secured another TAXI victory by finishing with a 47 second advantage, and catching up to all of the Senior Experts who’ve taken off 3 minutes before the Master’s.
